New Imperial Pueblan

rabernet Mar 30, 2010 04:29 PM

Hi folks! I generally keep ball pythons, but have a few colubrids in my collection as well.

I just attended the new WARE show (West Alabama Reptile Expo) this past weekend, and picked up this sweet looking Imperial. I am just enchanted with this little guy!

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Check out that belly!

That is one heck of a neat looking snake. I am not into keeping hybrids due to my breeding efforts, but I think some are just great looking nonetheless. Will this animal retain its coloration and pattern as it grows, or is that a hybrid mystery??

Kevin,

He's my first hybrid, so I'm not sure the answer to your question on the color. He was just a cool critter that I just couldn't pass up. No plans to breed him, really no plans to breed any of my colubrids for that matter, I just enjoy having them in my collection.

Never say never of course, but I'm an amatuer with the colubrids, I'm much more comfortable with my ball python breedings! LOL

Nice Imperial
the pattern is there to stay and by the looks of things the orange may get brighter.

Here is an albino version of the red back imperial

Thankyou, so is yours dude, actually i think the imperial pueblan hybrids are the most diverse and beautifull of all the hybrids, at one time i thought the pastel kings were the most variable of the hybrids but imperials surpass them in variability of colour and pattern easy.

Paul, thanks for the input. I often wonder how some of the hybrids mature.

Your welcome
all of the hybrids we breed and keep always retain their pattern that they are born with but many go through colour changes.
