Tree frogs and Inverts?

SeahorseCaptain Apr 25, 2010 12:57 AM

So I might be getting a few Red Eyes. I was wondering is there would be any reason I couldnt keep an African Giant Millipede and a couple Hissing Cockroaches with them? I know the Inverts wouldnt bother the frogs. And theyre also the same size/larger than the frogs, so im sure the frogs wouldnt be able to eat them.

The treefrog/s would live in terror and the stress would kill them. Not so much of the millis which but more so of the hissing roaches who in truth would "taste" them if they could.

I also think the roaches need diff enviroment than the tree's not sure on that but the tree would be in constant fear as far up in the screen as possible afraid to even go after crickets, etc.

Would not recommend it. If they were to encounter each other in the wild it would be a different story but keeping them enclosed together 24/7 is definitely going to give you issues in the long run.

-Who knows what the different species might do to one another?
-Different husbandry needs
-Disease/Parasites

I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons, it's just not a good idea.
