Been searching the internet for what a rough translation of what "Uromastyx" translates to in English but can't find anything, is it spiny-tail?

According to Latin Names Explained by A.F. Gotch-
Greek= oura= tail
Greek= mastix= a whip
The name is apparently a reference to their defense of lashing their tail.
