Woma Tailwaging..sexual or not?

Jaykis Oct 05, 2010 09:34 PM

I just put two of my males in with their last years mates. One pair is 2nd generation. Withing a minute or two, the females start flipping their tails while the males move against them. I know this could be irritation, but I also suspect possible luring by the females. You can hear it across the room. Anyone else had a similar situation?

Never had it in Womas, but I've had it in D'Albert's Pythons! Definite sexual posturing! Did you cycle them already?

Copulation has occured in both pairs since the twitching was observed.

I just put my male with my female yesterday. And within minutes she was tail wagging, with her tail raised. And the male was very curious and cautious. And soon were they going at it. It was amazing to see his two stubby nails scratching her back, working his way down backwards. The spent the night at it.

Now they look like tired lovers. How long should I leave them together? Should I re-introduce them again after that?
