I dont know where this is at, but an old pic of one male and 5 female banana pectinatas in some sort of pen. There are probably more lizards, but not pictured. Im guessing that this may be the group kept at a facility on an island off the African coast which I cannot right now remember the keepers or island name.

Yes, that is it. I've actually spoke to the owner years past. Didn't he also have some rare chuckwallas? That said, look at that female 2nd from front. Wouldnt you like to have her as one of your breeders

Yeah for sure Mark. What a nice looking group. I would like to see them after a bath when they look all shiney and new! Yeah as far as chucks I think that guy has had quite a few rare lizards and/or nice lizard species. Would be cool to visit one day. I wish I could remember his name. I think actually Bert Langerwerf was going to buy the place back in 84 but instead came to the US.

According to Bert...he, Luis Felipe Lopez and Jim Pether were partners at one time (of Reptilandia) but he was not happy with his "lazy" partners and decided to move to Alabama after meeting Mark Paris in 1987 at SSAR meeting in Chicago.

Thats right, Jim Pether. That was back when you had to actually call these people long distance by telephone. He seemed like a nice guy.
