Cindy's spot on! A Carpet is a relatively thinner bodied snake compared to, say a Burm! That snake might be a couple rats under-weight, that's about it! The black and yellow carpets you speak of, are "Jungles" from the Atherton Tableland region! What you have there, is a Coastal Carpet! BTW, if that animal is indeed 10-11 ft, that's the biggest carpet I've ever seen!
