We've only had our cat for about 2 months, and this is the second estrus cycle we've had to deal with. With her last one there were no problems. She just laid around meowing, and rubbing all over everything. This time, since she went into her cycle, she's been pooping on the floors CONSTANTLY. I know that a cat will urinate out of her litter box, to lay her scent down... but does she poop out of her box too?

>>I'm guessing it is, since we clean her litter box at least twice a week. Also, she's never pooped on the floors before this.

If she's a young cat/kitten, she is probably a bit confused by being in heat. Yes, they will spray, pee and poop inappropriately at times. She will continue to come in to heat about every two or three weeks with increasing intensity until she's bred or spayed, until the weather gets much, much cooler. Unless you are planning to use her in a breeding program, you will both be happier if you make an appointment now to have her spayed.
