Oh, I understand you now... You're saying that if something (anything, basically, rabid or not) bit a mouse the mouse would probably die from the bite, not the rabies.

That makes sense.

I'd say the bigger concern in this matter is the poor "soon-to-be-dead cat." Poor guy. Hopefully they can find him a good home.
