I am wondering if it is an allergy to some sort of food would that cause his body to not put on any weight and would we see other symptoms.

Update: He ate two jars of Gerber Lamp with gravy and loved it. He hasn't gone to food like this every. He actually kept it down so I am going to try this for a couple of weeks and see if any weight gain while I explore my other options as far as testing goes. He gets so stressed out when visiting the vet. He had a terrible expereince 8 years ago when a vet tested for a blocked tear duct...and the corner of the testing strip got jabbed into his eye by accident. He was awesome at the vet until that day and he has never been the same since unfortuantely. It is hard work to even get a vet to be able to examine him closely.

Another question: Would it still be possible that it is thyroid despite both tests coming back negative?

Do you have a gut feeling as to what test to do next? My vet never would settle on a test.

Thanks for your help.
