The odd thing about that wikipedia article is that it says they occur around Jirisan, which is in the southern part of the ROK. I wish I knew where that info came from......possibly just misinformation, but then again, there are other equally strange isolated distributions in that part of the world. One more to-do on my research list. Unfortunately, all of the time I spent in Korea was when the ground was frozen solid!
