You are right there are a lot more serious issues in this country right now than a bunch of snakes in the everglades. The unemployment rate here in Fl. is just ridiculous and the other problems you mentioned are of more concern also. The politicians are well aware of this, they also realize that they can't wave a "magic wand" anymore to make them go away. They know that the general public is fed up with their performance and ready to clean house. The snake ban is a desperate attempt to convince people that they are doing things so that they might actually hang on to their jobs. It's the same the with the bill mr. constantine is pushing right now. There is a lot of inquiry here about the misappropriation of campaign funds within the fl. state republican party of which mr. constantine is a member. Between that and the growing animosity towards incumbents and there is bound to be alot of fall out in Nov.
