Yeah, dehydration could have been a possibility initially along with it being underfed, but you could stop the soaking now. All it needs now is a waterbowl and a humid-hide and it will be fine along with it eating. Good on getting the book and reading it too, there is everything you need in there if it is comprehended, and Kathy Love is good at conveying information.
Just keep all these things in mind and keep referring to the book periodically. Not handling it and allowing it to digest it's meals in peace is the most important thing.
