Oh, no kitty sneezes. My former boyfriend used to make fun of me when the cats sneezed as I went into "high alert". I almost lost both of them the first few days after I adopted them due to URIs from the SPCA. The vet and I really though Pookey would not make it. So, whenever there is a sneeze, we'd yell out, "Call in the medivac!" I still do with Pookey. He has always sneezed occasionally and had build up on one eye -- allergies...

I bet they had so much fun in Mexico! David is 17! He drives! I can't believe it! Does he have...gasp...a girlfriend? I can't believe Paula is 12. Where is the time going? I can believe they are both taller than you... I am 5'2" and the kids always tower over me!

My Dad and Step-Mom were able to stay in their house after some serious work. They lost the basement and had to gut it and did some major cleaning on the top level, but thankfully, most of their main living area was on the top level. It was more guest room, family room, freezers, storage, and laundry room in the basement they lost. They had a one year anniversary/rebuilding article in the Cedar Rapids Gazette last month and my step-mom was pictured receiving flowers. She's in Palo and they handed out flowers to all the residents that still live there. It is staggering how many have not returned. Don't quote me, but I think about 2/3 of the town is still abandoned.

They did have a cat, but she passed away about 7 or so years ago at the age of 16 from kidney failure. She was very loved and spoiled. My Mom said the SPCA rounded up many animals after the flood and temporarily housed them so folks could get on their feet. There were three or so displaced cats that hung around my parent's house that she fed and put out water for until folks claimed them.

I don't know what I'd do if they didn't let me get to Pookey to feed him. I would probably wind up arrested for breaking the law...

I can't recall, have you retired. I thought you were very close last time we spoke...
