So I learned the whole not to hit a cat the hard way, but I am happy to report that slowly Smokie is coming up to me and sniffing me. He isn't hissing as much anymore either. He has been playing with my husband almost all night. He is even allowing me to sit on the floor near him and talk to him. So hopefully with a few days things will back to normal. Thanks for the help and not being to hard on me...I so apreciate it.
