Mr. Hubbs doesn't even mention a post brumation shed in his Mountain King book. I have 4 L.knoblochi females gravid right now that never even had a post brumation shed. It also looks as though one of my L.p.pyromelana is gravid too, with no post brumation shed.



I have noticed some NA milks will breed with no post brumation shed and lay good clutches. Once my females are up to weight(usually 2-5 weeks) I will introduce the males shed or no shed, and continue this until the are gravid.



If the female sheds I put her shed in with the male. If he starts going crazy it's time to start the introduction.
