I'm not sure they are pure getula. Recently Common Kings were lumped and getula is now referring to Eastern Kings. Common Kings from the eastern USA I.e. Florida, Apalachicola and Chain Kings are now Lampropeltis getula everything else is not. Genetically they are different than Black Kings, cal Kings etc...they are pure Kings just not pure Getula according to science.
