Reptile hobbyists have been manipulating the genes of their breeding stock through selective propagation for decades, and that includes the intentional cross breeding of species (or subspecies), many in combinations that would not be naturally possible. Known as "hybrids" these animals are controversial among hobbyists and academics, and their ability to reproduce has caused us to re-think and re-define many species relationships.

Here you may post messages or questions pertaining to all aspects and issues regarding the keeping, breeding and health of hybrid reptile and amphibians and the wide variety of color and pattern morphs/variants found among them, as well as related husbandry and propagation/breeding issues.
