What a wonderful article!! When I first got my sav I was told the normal "get it out and handle it every day for 15 mins" - of course - it hated it. Then I found a really good forum that advocated the same as you - not handling and letting it "be a monitor". So now over the last couple of months (he's almost a year now) I've been using that "not touch much" technique - and certainly not pulling him out of hiding! Now I find he's out and about more and basking and not running to hide whenever I enter the room. Yesterday he was in his basking corner while I was busying myself around him in his viv (just talking to him like you say) and he just watched me. I even scritched his head and he didn't do any of the "don't touch me" signs. I have learned - but again, I say, wow! what a fantastic article
